I’m a Kashmir-born director of photography based in Bournemouth and London, shooting documentaries, narrative films and commercials in the UK and abroad.
I studiedMass Communication and Journalismat theUniversity of Kashmir, then completed a Master’s inCinematography for Film and TelevisionatBournemouth University. Broadcast credits from 2022 include Apple TV, Discovery Channel India and National Geographic India, alongside brands and cultural institutions.
I work with natural light and frame each shot so it carries the story - balancing technical precision with instinctive framing, whether that’s a sub-zero Himalayan expedition or a macro product spot.

From the first conversation to the final grade, every decision serves the story the film needs to tell.

Story & look
I start with what the film must say, then define a visual language - framing, light and movement - that carries it.
- 02
Prep & recce
Locations, light direction, kit and logistics planned ahead - essential for expeditions and fast-moving documentary.
- 03
Shoot
Natural light wherever possible, instinctive framing, and a calm set - whether it’s a broadcast crew or a solo field shoot.
- 04
Grade & deliver
Colour grading and masters for broadcast, streaming and social - consistent, on spec and on time.
